Why can't I generate more activities right now?

Basic plan accounts get 1 generation every 48 hours — you'll see a countdown for when your next one unlocks. To skip the wait: use a bonus generation (earned by referring friends — up to 3 stacked at once), or upgrade to Pro for unlimited generations.

I signed up but never got a confirmation email.

Check spam/junk first. If it's genuinely missing after a few minutes, go to the sign-in screen and try logging in with the same email and password — What2Do will prompt you to resend the confirmation if your account still needs it.

A suggested activity doesn't seem to exist, or the details look off.

Results are AI-generated and occasionally get something wrong, though What2Do is specifically built to avoid inventing venues — smaller or independent businesses are often described by category and neighborhood rather than named outright when there's meaningful doubt. Check the confidence badge on the card, and always verify on Google Maps before heading out.

I filled out the form, then had to sign up, and lost everything I entered.

This shouldn't happen — your form is saved automatically when the sign-up prompt appears and restored once you're signed in, including after Google sign-in. If it still happens to you, email us (below) with which sign-in method you used.

My referral code isn't giving a bonus generation.

Referral bonuses only apply to brand-new accounts, within about an hour of signing up, and each account can only be referred once. An existing account using a referral link afterward won't trigger a bonus.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Settings → your plan details → cancel subscription. You keep Pro access through the end of your current billing period; cancelling doesn't end access immediately or refund the current period.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → "Delete my account." This permanently removes your profile, favorites, Been There Done That list, and search history. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first — deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel billing with Stripe.

Can I use What2Do while traveling, outside my home city?

Yes — location is a free-text field, so it works for any city. The blog's city guides also give quick starter ideas for major world capitals without using the form at all.
